CAAB's Family Financial Wellness Café is designed to empower families and create a path to financial independence. This is an opportunity to change the financial climate of families and to open a dialogue between parents and children about family finances and goals. Learn about money behavior, debt management, credit building and repair and how to pay yourself first!

CAAB Invites You to its Family Financial Wellness Café on February 6th

Thanks to the support from The TD Charitable Foundation, Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB), in partnership with Maya Angelou Public Charter School, invites you to its Family Financial Wellness Café on February 6th in Washington, DC.

The Family Financial Wellness Café is designed to empower families and create a path to financial independence. This is an opportunity to change the financial climate of families and to open a dialogue between parents and children about family finances and goals.

Adults will spend a portion of the day in a financial education class titled “Can I Afford My Life” while youth will absorb information through our “Young Money” curriculum. For the second portion of the day we will bring the groups together to talk about money as a family unit.

Learn about money behavior, debt management, credit building and repair and how to pay yourself first!

Moreover, 10 families will be selected to also receive free family financial coaching with CAAB staff.

  • Time: 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

How much does it Cost?

This event is free.

Registration is limited to a maximum of 4 immediate family members. Parents and children included and all youth participants need to be in grades 8 through 12 to participate in this event.
