CAAB Launches Financial Empowerment Classes at DCPL's Woodridge Branch

 
On February 2, 2017, Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) launched the first of monthly financial empowerment classes hosted at the Woodridge Branch of the District of Columbia Public Library (DCPL). Participants learned how to gain control of their finances by acquiring knowledge of their relationship with money, how to budget, how to properly utilize credit, their financial rights, how to save & invest for a better future and information on avoiding overdraft bank fees.

Thanks to the generous support from the Meyer Foundation and the Rose Foundation for Communities and the Environment, on February 2, 2017, Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) launched the first of monthly financial empowerment classes hosted at the Woodridge Branch of the District of Columbia Public Library (DCPL).

Participants learned how to gain control of their finances by acquiring knowledge of their relationship with money, how to budget, how to properly utilize credit, their financial rights, how to save & invest for a better future and information on avoiding overdraft bank fees.
