EITC: You Earned It. Get It Back!
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a tax benefit for working people who earn lower or moderate incomes. The credit offsets taxes, supplements very low wages, and encourages work.
Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) recommends that you use the EITC Estimator provided for free by the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities (CBPP) to estimate the amount of EITC you may be eligible for in 2018. CBPP's EITC Estimator for Tax Year 2017 may be accessed at http://www.eitcoutreach.org/help/
The CAAB-managed DC EITC Campaign, is a citywide, cross-sector initiative that provides access to information on the EITC and connects Washingtonians with free tax preparation services throughout the District.
