Financially Empowering Survivors of Domestic Violence in the Greater DC Area
Thanks to the support from Washington Area Women's Foundation (WAWF), Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) is partnering with three community-based organizations to financially empower survivors of domestic violence in the Greater DC Area. In Washington, DC, CAAB is partnering with My Sister's Place and House of Ruth. In Maryland, CAAB is partnering with Family Crisis Center of Prince George's County.
CAAB's staff teaches financial education workshops to participants of these great organizations. Participants learn how to gain control of their finances by acquiring knowledge of their relationship with money, how to budget, how to properly utilize credit, their financial rights and how to save & invest for a better future.
