9th #EconMobility Conference: Pathways to Income and Wealth Creation for Women

 
On Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the “Pathways to Income and Wealth Creation for Women" conference over 50 community stakeholders from DC-based community based organizations, regional funders, national asset building intermediaries, and representatives of Federal Government agencies and the DC Government came together to discuss socio-economic challenges faced by girls and women in the Greater Washington region to achieve financial wellness and initiatives, services and strategies being provided by local, regional and national organizations to financially empower them.

This gathering took place at the ninth Economic Mobility for Greater Washington quarterly conference hosted by Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB), Coalition for Nonprofit Housing and Economic Development (CNHED), Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED), DC Department of Insurance, Securities and Banking (DISB), Bank on DC, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) and United Way of the National Capital Area.

Economic Mobility for Greater Washington is a series of conversations considering current research and best practices about financial access, new transaction products, and other tools for building wealth, aimed at developing a multi-faceted asset building collaboration in the Greater Washington Area.
