Invite you to join the second in a series of conversations about economic issues affecting DC’s individuals, families and communities and critical tools that can measurably improve financial well-being. Like our at-capacity and lively first meeting in February, and future sessions, this meeting will consider current research and best practices. This session will focus on proven and emerging strategies to help consumers build credit and to increase acceptance of alternative approaches to credit-building. Participants can expect a robust discussion about cross-sector credit strategies that can contribute significantly to a more inclusive, equitable DC economy.

Speakers will include Jeanne Hogarth of the Center for Financial Services Innovation and Dara Duguay of the Credit Builders Alliance and representatives of DC-based nonprofit organizations who are drafting or implementing new credit-building tools.

Future sessions of this series will consider new financial products for unbanked and under-banked households and will aim to develop a financial inclusion action plan for DC.
