Attention DC: OTR Extended Tax Filing Deadline for Electronically Filed Returns to April 18th
The District of Columbia's Office of Tax and Revenue (OTR) has been alerted that the Internal Revenue Service’s (IRS) electronic tax-filing systems are experiencing outages. OTR will allow taxpayers and tax professionals to submit their tax returns without penalty until 11:59 pm Wednesday, April 18.
Delayed submissions of electronically filed returns by the IRS to OTR will not result in penalties for late filing.
