CAAB on Telemundo Washington to Raise Awareness of the EITC and Connect Washingtonians with Free Tax Preparation Services
At the invitation from Telemundo Washington, on March 29, 2018, Joseph Leitmann-Santa Cruz, Associate Director of Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) and Manager of the DC EITC Campaign, was interviewed by Alonso Castillo for Telemundo Washington's 6:00 PM news show on the Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and its positive impact on low- and moderate-income individuals and families in Washington, DC.
Additionally, CAAB joined Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC), CASA and Montgomery County Community Action Agency, Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) during a live two-hour long Taxes phone bank to provide information, guidance and resources in Spanish to Spanish speaking communities members from throughout the Washington metropolitan region.

The CAAB-managed DC EITC Campaign, is a citywide, cross-sector initiative that provides access to information on the EITC and connects Washingtonians with free tax preparation services throughout the District.
