CAAB Seeks an Administrative Associate, Cash Transfers & Guaranteed Income

 
The Administrative Associate, Cash Transfers & Guaranteed Income is responsible for providing day-to-day support to CAAB programs; communicating with participants; and ensuring program entry and document compliance, participant support, and data entry.

 JOB DESCRIPTION

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE, CASH TRANSFERS & GUARANTEED INCOME

BACKGROUND:

Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to create opportunities for low- and moderate-income individuals in the greater DC region to build financial security, savings, and wealth for the future. 

CAAB’s Cash Transfers & Guaranteed Income Programs allow qualified individuals to receive either non-conditional or conditional cash transfers.

Position Summary: The Administrative Associate, Cash Transfers & Guaranteed Income is responsible for providing day-to-day support to CAAB programs; communicating with participants; and ensuring program entry and document compliance, participant support, and data entry. 

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Enter critical participant data into CAAB database system(s).
  • Review applications and withdrawal requests received from participants and ensure the completeness of required documents and program compliance.
  • Generate “Welcome Letter” to participants with account information.
  • Assist participants with information regarding their bank statements, deposits, and withdrawals.
  • Support the day-to-day supervision of withdrawal requests received from participants and send it to CAAB’s accounting department.
  • Respond to participants’ inquiries regarding their reapplications and withdrawal requests via e-mail and/or phone.
  • Ensure program documents are securely stored in CAAB system and program database folders.
  • Work with CAAB staff to develop and distribute outreach and marketing materials for CAAB's programs, including providing descriptions and distributing outreach materials to target populations.
  • Organize folders and data upkeep. 
  • Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Expertise in using technology to record and share information, and streamline operations.
  • Have strong customer relations skills. 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Organized with a strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and under pressure.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and technical writing skills, full command of MS Office products, technology skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Ability to listen to customer needs.
  • Experience working with low- and moderate-income individuals and families.
  • Cultural understanding and awareness of socio-economic matters in the Washington metropolitan region. 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

  • Salary Range: $60,000 to $65,000, depending on experience.
  • 10% match paid by CAAB into your CAAB 401(k) retirement account.
  • $2,100 annual utilities & food reimbursement paid by CAAB to you on a monthly basis.

  • 10 Vacation Days. 
  • Hybrid Work Environment: Monday, Thursday, and Friday from Home and Tuesday and Wednesday from the Office or at Community-based events.

Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday with some evening and weekend hours required as needed.

FBI and Police clearance are required.
