Peter Calhoun III is Appointed to CAAB's Board of Directors

 
Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Calhoun III to its Board of Directors. Mr. Calhoun's term starts in April 2015. "I believe that my strong background in mortgage finance can add value to CAAB as it relates to understanding the key components of the mortgage market and accessibility for consumers," said Mr. Calhoun. "I look forward to contributing to advance CAAB's mission for-the-benefit of underserved communities throughout the Greater DC Area."

Peter Calhoun III is Appointed to CAAB's Board of Directors

Capital Area Asset Builders (CAAB) is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Calhoun III to its Board of Directors. Mr. Calhoun's term begins immediately. 

“Peter’s commitment to improve the financial education and wellbeing of all people in the Greater DC Area is in alignment with our organization,” said Rich Petersen, CAAB’s Executive Director. “I look forward to working with Peter and him bringing his passion, dedication and expertise to our Board of Directors.”

Mr. Calhoun had an extensive career as a mortgage finance regulator. He recently retired from the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) with over 25 years of mortgage finance experience overseeing Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banks. As an Associate Director at FHFA, he managed a team that analyzed the financial performance of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banks. His team produced key mortgage finance public reports such as the monthly Foreclosure Prevention Report and the monthly Refinance Report and provided ad-hoc analysis to external stakeholders such as Congress. 

"I believe that my strong background in mortgage finance can add value to CAAB as it relates to understanding the key components of the mortgage market and accessibility for consumers," said Mr. Calhoun. "I look forward to contributing to advance CAAB's mission for-the-benefit of underserved communities throughout the Greater DC Area."

Mr. Calhoun received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Howard University and a Master of Business Administration degree from George Washington University.
