Investing in People, Strengthening Communities

What would you do with an extra $1,000 guaranteed to you for every month, for the rest of your life?

If you are willing to share your hopes and dreams for that new source of monthly money, you can enter a drawing for a $1,000 prize to be provided by Y Combinator Research and at the same time help provide useful feedback to researchers and philanthropists seeking to develop a project testing a concept called Universal Basic Income.

To participate, shoot a 30-60 second video telling the world what you would do with an extra $1,000 in cash per month, use the hashtag #mybasicincome, and submit it here via google form.

To encourage submissions, three entrants will be randomly selected to win $1,000 in cash to spend with no strings attached. Submissions to Y Combinator Research are due January 15, 2018. Two weeks later, Y Combinator Research will announce the winners. For more information on the video contest, please visit https://basicincome.ycr.org/blog/2017/11/27/announcing-the-basic-income-video-contest
