CAAB conducts research and collaborates with research organizations to highlight economic issues affecting low- and moderate-income residents of the Greater DC area, and proposes programs and policies to eliminate barriers to saving and wealth creation.
CAAB also works with banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions to make their products and services more accessible and responsive to the needs of low-income consumers. At the same time, CAAB educates consumers about factors that influence the cost of financial products and services so that they can better evaluate their options and make choices that will help them create wealth rather than debt.
